In line with planned launch of Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) iMacPro, Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) has now launched 12- to 18-core X-series desktop processors to counter Advanced Micro Devices, Inc (NASDAQ:AMD) offerings. Availability of 12-core processor is expected by August 28, while 14- to 18-core processors are expected by September 25. Advanced Micro Devices, Inc (NASDAQ:AMD) Ryzen Threadripper processor and the Radeon RX Vega graphics chip both are in direct competition with Intel and NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA).

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc (NASDAQ:AMD) Ryzen Threadripper processor currently surpass both Intel and NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) offerings. With the new launches Advanced Micro Devices, Inc (NASDAQ:AMD) takes aim at Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) core market of enterprise and data centre. Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) is currently supplying modems for iPhone since last year and is all set to expand with Apple to provide LTE modems.

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc (NASDAQ:AMD) Ryzen Threadripper processor and the Radeon RX Vega also are in direct competition with Intel’s Core i7 and i9 processors having superior benchmarks. Radeon RX Vega 64 and RX Vega 56 from Advanced Micro Devices, Inc (NASDAQ:AMD) are aimed at NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA). NVIDIA currently hold almost all of the graphic and gaming market. With GeForce GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 AMD has taken aggressive steps to taken on both Intel and NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA).

PCs contributed 6% of Intel revenue last quarter, while revenue from IOT had jumped by 11%. NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) has been known for its growth and has been consistent with return of 195% over the one-year. With the growth of IOT, AR and AI NVIDIA sands to hugely benfit in the long run. NVIDIA’s both graphics processing units (GPUs) and Tegra processors have significant market share in gaming, data centre and visualization segment.
