CEO and SVP of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. Sold a Part of Their Shares in the Company

In a transaction on February 13th, the SVP (Senior Vice president) of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. Bradley H. Stein sold 5,077 shares of the stock he holds in the company. He did this transaction at an average price of $96.36, thus amounting to $489,219.72 in total. After the transaction, his total holding in the company was $1,913,420.52 from 19,857 shares.

Again after two days on 16th February, he sold 861 shares at an average price of $96.68. This sale gave him the corpus of $83,241.48. After these two transactions that were disclosed in Securities & Exchange Commission filing, Stein now owns 18,996 shares that are worth $1,836,533.28.

The CEO of the company, Michael W. Bayley also made a ‘sell’ transaction on 15th February. He sold 2,440 shares from his kitty at an average price of $96.50. He received a corpus of $235,460.00 from this sale. Bayley now owns 64,541 shares valued at $6,228,206.50 in the company.

The last earnings of the company were released on January 26th when the company beat the analysts’ estimate of $1.21 EPS (earnings per share) by $0.02. It reported an EPS of $1.23 for the quarter. If we compare the same quarter last year, then the EPS reported was $0.94.

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., as the name suggests, is a cruise company that owns various brands under its flagship. This includes Royal Caribbean International, Azamara Club Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, CDF Croisieres de France, Pullmantur and the company also has a joint venture interest in the TUI Cruises. There are some 23 ships operating under its Royal Caribbean International brand with a total capacity of around 68,600 berths. The company offers cruises from 2 to 24 nights at a stretch.

In its last result on January 26th, Royal Caribbean Cruises showed a net margin of 15.10% with a 15.89% return on equity. The total earnings of the company in that quarter were reported to be $1.91 billion, which was slightly less than the market expectation of $1.97 billion. The revenue of the company was up by 4% year on year basis. The analysts expect that in the current year the company will post an EPS of around $7.05.

The company has also declared a dividend of $0.48 that is due to be paid on 5th April. Those investors who hold the company shares as on March 7th will be eligible for it. With this dividend declaration, the company gave a total dividend of $1.92 for the year, which comes to the dividend yield of 2.02%.
