Within the next six months, India will get a manufacturing plant by NEXTracker as they will set up a tracker-based solar power generation in the country.
NEXTracker is a company in North America, which ranks in number one position in solar tracking. This company’s products enable solar power cells and panels to captivate maximum light and heat. This will improve the productivity generation of solar power through 15-20 percent.
The Vice President of NEXTracker, Nava Akkineni addressed a conference and said – “We are in the process of setting up a tracker manufacturing facility in India particularly in Northern part of the country to start with.”
He further added that the company NEXTracker has tied up with another consultancy for supplying the required trackers so that they can set up one gigawatt of solar plant in India and may be another gigawatt by the year end of 2017. To get the equipment, which is based on their standards, they have trained the local manufacturers. As of now, approximately 64 percent of the material being used in equipment has been localized. They are planning to set up their facilities at various places all over the country.
Within few weeks, the company will seal the deal with the companies among India’s top 10 producers of solar power for stock of equipment to aid one gigawatt of capacities. The solar tracker market in India is expected to increase from 7 percent in 2016 by the year 2021, which in turn will have 31 percent of projects that are ground mounted, as said by NEXTracker Vice President.
Last year, the organization NEXTracker had supplied India’s main solar tracker project for 105 Megawatt to Adani Power Plant, Punjab.
The company also released a stamen that they are going to partner with India’s CleanMax so that they can supply 30-Megawatt solar tracker to a Tamil Nadu project.
The Managing Director of CleanMax Solar, Kuldeep Jain said that they are looking out for the best technology and equipment just to increase the solar power plant’s output. And to accompany this plan, NEXTracker has the perfect technology available with them
These tracking systems will direct the solar modules or panels towards the sun, and the orientation keeps on changing throughout the day by following the path of the sun to take full advantage of the energy. It is expected that by the next year the power utilities will increase 80 percent.
